Yesterday, work on the $100 million Mikazuki Spa & Hotel Resort project in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District was kicked off. With an area of 12.2ha near the Xuan Thieu beach, the project is developed by the Japan’s Katsura Hotel Mikazuki Co. Ltd.
Chairman of the Lien Chieu District People's Committee Dam Quang Hung highly appreciated the implementation of this large project for accelerating the growth of Northwestern coastal areas. He promised the district authorities would strongly support and create the most favourable conditions for the developer to carry out its project.

In addition, another key project is the $170-million Sunshine aerospace components manufacturing project, developed which will by the Universal Alloy Corporation Asia Pte. LTD (UAC) at Da Nang Hi-tech Park. Its groundbreaking ceremony is set to take place on March 29.
Chief Operating Officer for UAC Kevin Loebbaka said, during the implementation progress, the firm is committed to ensure environmental protection and public health, occupational safety, the development of local suppliers and manufacturers.
Reportedly, this project aims to export aircraft components to North America and Europe worth an estimated 82 million$ by 2022.
Moreover, UAC Vietnam will initially supply fuselage components for Boeing’s 787, 777 and 737 aircrafts; and engine elements for Rolls Royce in the Da Nang-based plant for export to North America, the EU, and Malaysia. The project is expected to recruit about 1,700 - 2,000 employees by 2022.
Also on Friday, the Central city also put a street, linking the Da Nang IT Park in Hoa Vang District with the Hi-Tech Park, ring road on the western side of the city and the extended Nguyen Tat Thanh route, into operation.
As expected the R-14 bus connecting the city center to the Hi-Tech and IT parks will have been put into use by the end of the Q2-2019.
Developed by the Trung Nam Group, the first stage of the Da Nang IT Park in Hoa Vang District will be completed after one year of construction on 131ha, with total investment of $82 million.
With a total area of 341ha, the $278 million park highlights a design similar to Silicon Valley in the USA and the Taiwan’s Hsinchu Science Park.
