Ho Chi Minh City to reduce dependence on private investors for transport infrastructure
PolicyHo Chi Minh City has decided to convert a number of private transport infrastructure projects that were designated as BOT (build – operate – transfer) and BT (Built – Transfer) into public projects.

PolicyInvestment capital planned for public projects has been largely appropriated to pay the debt arrears of basic construction and to complete transitional projects, while very few fresh projects have been financed in the past few years, said Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung at a National Assembly (NA) session on June 3.
