Misleading information about EZ Land Vietnam
Taking advantage of the brand name and the reputation of EZ Land Vietnam project developer, many individuals have set up fake website addresses, with confusing domain to be EZ Land Vietnam. These sites even copy logos, colors and designs of EZ Land Vietnam.
In particular, the website with the address ezland.com.vn. Much of the information on this site is either copied or uploaded without permission. Specifically, the article titled ‘Dự án Hausbelo mở bán sốt hàng; khách mua sang nhượng chênh lệch ngay tại bàn’ clearly stated:
“On January 12, the HausBelo project was officially opened for sale, attracting a large number of buyers with full 100% apartments being taken. Lucky customers had the priority to come as early as 7am to choose apartment, while later clients had to wait and draw their names to earn a spot for apartment selection, but by 12pm, a total of 888 apartments were sold out.”
However, EZ Land representative has said that this is unorthodox and inaccurate information, and that the project is only in the stage of market research.
Besides, the website ezland.com.vn also posted misleading information about the upcoming project of EZ Land Vietnam, stating:
“Our sales openings have succeeded beyond expectations for the two projects Hausneo apartment and Hausbelo apartment. We soon to announce the project: Hausviva.”
The purpose of posting these information, according to experts, is to trick customers to register, even send money to the individuals or organizations that set up this website. This is a fraud, potentially making customers believe that they are sending money to EZ Land Vietnam or its representatives.
In addition to ezland.com.vn, the website hausviva.com.vn works in a similar way. Beside basic information about the Hausviva project, rumored to be the next project of EZ Land Vietnam, this site also promises to provide customers with red books and construction permits of the project. However, this is just a trick to get customers’ registration information.
Many big names speak out for being imitated
Recently, many prestigious real estate businesses in Ho Chi Minh City have to constantly speak out for being impersonated. For example, from the beginning of October 2019 to now, many brokers posted information that Phu Dong Real Estate Group JSC is about to sell SKY D5 luxury apartment project in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City and begin to accept customers’ deposit for the project.
According to advertisement, since November 1, Thu Thiem Home real estate exchange has officially opened for reservation and refund of the Sky D5 luxury apartment project at D5 Street, Ward 25, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
Expected selling price is VND50 million per square meter. Opening time is from the end of November to the beginning of December with 400 units. The model house is being completed on Tran Nhat Duat Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
However, Mr. Ngo Quang Phuc, general director of Phu Dong Group, said that Phu Dong Group is currently developing apartment projects in Di An Town, Binh Duong Province, and not working on any building projects in Ho Chi Minh City nor any model houses on Tran Nhat Duat Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
“Our model house is right at the project in Di An Town, Binh Duong Province. We are about to deploy the Phu Dong 3 project and setting up model houses at Phu Dong urban area in Di An Town. We are not affiliated with the Thu Thiem Home real esate exchange that sells our products. All of the above information is fake and deceiving, and customers are asked to stay alert,” said Phuc.
In addition, Him Lam Land Trading Corporation has just released a statement saying:
Recently, the company has received many questions and inquiries from customers regarding the information that the company is the investor of the Sky D5 luxury apartment project located on D5 Street, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. This information is being provided by some real estate trading floors through advertising on social network platforms (Facebook) or contact via phone, etc.
The representative of the company confirmed that Him Lam does not develop any project named ‘Sky D5 luxury apartment” at the above address, neither do they have any model houses on Tran Nhat Duat Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Any information on the company being the investor of Sky D5 is all false, brand imitating and trademark infringing of Him Lam. At the same time, this behavior has taken advantage of customer’s beliefs to cheat, take over assets and seriously affected the company’s reputation.
