Batdongsan.com.vn releases data noting 20-40% differences between asking prices of apartments in both central and non-central districts of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
Housing prices in Ha Noi and HCM City increased slightly in the third quarter, according to an annual report from the Ministry of Construction released at a press conference on September 30.
According to the market research report Quarter 2-2019 by Batdongsan.com.vn, while apartment prices in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) have continuously risen, that in Hanoi market have slowed down and remained stable since Quarter 4-2018.
Apartment prices in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) increased by 10 percent a year between 2014 and 2018, according to a recent report by real estate market research firm Savills.
In April 2019, average price of apartments in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) reached VND 33.56 million per sqm.
Before 2014, Hanoi apartments had a higher price range than Ho Chi Minh City’s. However, this price gap was shortened and now HCMC is the one who leads the domestic market.
