The Government has ordered relevant agencies to resolve hindrances to the compensation and site clearance processes for the Long Thanh International Airport project as over 5,280 households will be affected.
To serve the Long Thanh airport project, on May 29, Dong Nai People's Committee held a ceremony to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the dissolution and adjustment of administrative boundaries of 6 communes of Long Thanh district.
The area of land needed for the Long Thanh International Airport project in Dong Nai Province in the first phase has been adjusted upward to 1,810 hectares from the original 1,165 hectares, according to authorities of the southern province.
The southern province of Dong Nai will hand over part of a rubber farm plot under the management of Dong Nai Rubber Corporation to the Long Thanh International Airport project next month.
Long Thanh airport project’s feasibility study must be submitted to Ministry of Transport (MoT) no later than May 30, so the ministry can consider and verify it before submitting to the Government in early June, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The asked consultancy agencies on March 21.
HCMC – Transport Minister Nguyen Van The has ordered Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to ensure that the Long Thanh International Airport project will be carried out without further delay, Thanh Nien newspaper reported.
