HCMC goverment plans to set up a center for infrastructure management.
Accordingly, this center will be established by reorganizing four urban traffic management zones in HCMC, the Steering Center for Urban Flood Control Program of Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon River Tunnel Management Center, after transferring state management functions in lighting system, water supply and drainage, greenery and public works maintenance to the Department of Construction from the Department of Transport.
Set to be headquartered in District 10, the center will coordinate with authorized agencies and units under the Department of Construction to implement assigned responsibilities.
Reportedly, the center for infrastructure management is a public service unit having legal status, own seal and accounts opened at the State Treasury and banks to operate in accordance with current laws.
