Initiated by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) in 2002, the Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest (Robocon) has grown into a prestigious platform for students in engineering and technology to showcase their talent. Now in its 23rd year, the competition continues to solidify its reputation as a leading regional and national arena for innovation and technical excellence. In 2025, Mongolia will host the ABU Robocon under the theme "Robot Basketball," promising exciting challenges that will demand creativity and real-world application from participating teams.
In Vietnam, Robocon 2025 continues to be organized on a national scale by Vietnam Television (VTV). Following the preliminary rounds held on June 5 and 6, the organizing committee officially selected 32 top-performing teams to advance to the final round, taking place from June 8 to 13. The official opening ceremony was held on the evening of June 8 at the provincial gymnasium of Ninh Binh Province.
