The museum is located on National Highway 1A in Dien Minh Commune, Dien Ban District in the central province. It will be officially opened at Tet (Lunar New Year) next month.
According to Phan Van Vinh, general director of Vinahouse, the museum displays well-known local dishes like mi Quang (Quang-style noodle soup) and pho san (noodle made from cassava starch). With more than 500 exhibits and documents at the museum, visitors can learn about the history of typical dishes of the Quang region.
Local chefs famous for their Quang noodle soups have been invited to demonstrate how to prepare the dish at the museum.
Mi Quang contains steamed rice noodles, fresh vegetables, poached pork, shrimp or chicken, boiled quail eggs and broth made from pork bones. It is topped with roasted peanuts, herbs and chili.
