Quang Ngai approves two tourism projects worth $64 million

Government of the Central province Quang Ngai has recently approved in principle two tourism projects which together cost nearly VND1.49 trillion, equivalent to $64 million.

In particular, the King Bay Sa Huynh resort, which is developed by domestic firm King Bay, is expected to cost VND1 trillion ($43 million). The future resort will cover an area of 96 hectares, of which 45 hectares are protected forests in Duc Pho District, about 48 kilometers to the South of Quang Ngai Town.

As planned, King Bay Sa Huynh resort will consist of apartments, villas, hotels and a palace, in addition to parks and facilities for water sports. 

The second project named Thach Ky Dieu Tau will be built on a land site of over 16 hectares, including hotels, bars, restaurants, among other attractions.

Situated in a travel spot with the same name, the project will be developed by Blacksoil Vietnam and Phu Yen Ecotourism Investment JSC, with the estimated cost of VND487 bililon ($21 million).

The two projects were in line with the province’s development plan and will boost tourism and socio-economic growth, said Chairman of Quang Ngai People’s Committee Tran Ngoc Cang.

With a coastline of 130 kilometers and many tourist attractions, Quang Ngai province has potentials for tourism development. Last year, the Central province welcomed one million visitors, an increase of 23 percent over 2017.
