At the workshop, vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Hoang Quang Phong expressed that the country with great demand for infrastructure development and therefore will need resources for this work in the time ahead. PPP model is assessed as an important factor to mobilise investment capital.
PPP has proved effective over the past years, according to the statistic on January 2019, there were 336 PPP projects with their contracts inked, including 140 build-operate-transfer projects and 188 build-transfer ones. The Government now is drafting a law on PPP investment and plans to submit to the National Assembly.
