The Deputy Chairman of Peoples’ Committee, Vo Van Hoan, on September 4 signed a decision to approve the detailed planning of Saigon Sports City.
Accordingly, the developers Singapore Keppel Land and Keppel Urban Solutions (KUS) will have six months starting from September to compose the 1/500 detailed planning of the main construction elements such as apartment units, schools, the trade, service, and office centre, sport facilities, the stadium, parks and inner lakes, and the transport system.
Linson Lim, president of Keppel Land Vietnam said that Keppel Land will incorporate leading technologies into the development of Saigon Sports City to ensure smart security management, smart mobility, and environmental infrastructure solutions.
“We aim to establish Saigon Sports City as a model for other urban developments in Vietnam, especially in Ho Chi Minh City, which is undergoing a transformation into a smart city,” Lim said. “Harnessing the collective competencies across Keppel Group, we will deliver solutions for sustainable urbanisation and capitalise on opportunities in integrated and mixed-use developments.”
Located in An Phu commune in District 2, a fast-developing area of Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Sports City will be connected to other areas via the Hanoi Highway and the Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway.
