The city govenrment also proposed the ministry consider application of 5G mobile technology in these creative urban areas.
The creative urban areas will be places to test and evaluate new technologies applied in rela life with a small scale of about 200ha each. These technologies include smart housing, smart transportation, unmanned vehicles, smart health care and medical services, renewable energy, renewable waste treatment, self-managed urban residential areas and multi-generational condominiums, smart and multicultural education schools, shopping services, among others.
In the future, creative urban areas will include: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, National University of Ho Chi Minh City, University of, University of Banking (District 9, University of Culture, Thu Thiem New Urban Area, Linh Trung 1 & 2 Export Processing Zone (Thu Duc District), Cat Lai 2 Industrial Park, Binh Chieu Industrial Zone and other existing urban areas.
