Accordingly, Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has issued a document to cancel the Decision No. 2360 / QD-UBND dated July 28, 2016 approving the investment policy of the 4-star resort in West Co To beach and Decision No. 731 / QD-UBND dated March 14, 2017 on suspending investment policy for the project.
In the decision, the Committee stated that: “The 4-star ecotourism & resort project in West Co To beach is terminated in accordance with Article 48, Law on Investment.”
Reportedly, the 4-star ecotourism resort project was planned to cover an area of nearly 14 hectares in Nam Ha village, Dong Tien commune, Co To district, Quang Ninh province. Bao Nguyen Investment Joint Stock Company was selected to be its developer. This project is in the list of projects calling for investment in the 2015 – 2020 period, with a vision towards 2030.
Before the cancellation, this project was suspended by Quang Ninh People's Committee in March 2017.
