Specifically, Hanoi Construction Department will carry out inspection on for condo buildings in districts: Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem, Ha Dong, Thanh Xuan, Cau Giay, Ba Dinh, Dong Da, Tay Ho, Hai Ba Trung, Hoang Mai and Thanh Tri district in the second quarter of 2019; then Long Bien, Gia Lam, Hoai Duc, Chuong My, Thanh Oai, Me Linh and Dan Phuong in the third quarter.
Hanoi promotes management for condo buildings.
Contents of the inspection will mainly focus on reviewing the results achieved in the management, operation and use of condominiums; pointing out difficulties and limitations that need resolving; finding causes and responsibilities to quickly reorganize and guide the remedy of shortcomings in the State management on operation and use of condominiums.
According to results of inspections from July to the end of 2018, the relevant authorities conducted inspections at 71 out of 83 condo projects with petitions and disputes, of these, 12 cases were fined for administrative violations. Several developers were forced to hand over maintenance fee, which is equivalent to 2% of a condo’s value. Nearly 20 developers were publicized on mass media because they had delayed hand over of maintenance fee to condo building’s management boards.
It is expected that the inspection team will have a meeting with relevant departments, developers and management boards of condominium projects with disputes; as well as organizations and individuals related to the management, operation and use of those projects to conduct the necessary inspection.
