Mr Teo Chee Hean, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, has toured Estella Place, Keppel Land’s new community mall in vibrant District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Teo was hosted by Mr Linson Lim, President, Vietnam, of Keppel Land and Country Representative (Vietnam) of the Keppel Corporation, and met with representatives of Singaporean brands.
“Keppel Land has been in Vietnam since the early 1990s,” Mr Lim said. “We have grown with Vietnam for almost three decades to become one of the largest foreign real estate developers in the country today.”
“As one of the pioneer foreign property developers, we are glad to have played a part in supporting other Singaporean enterprises to join us as we scale up and continue to participate in and contribute to the growth of Vietnam’s economy.”
Keppel Land now has 20 licensed projects around Vietnam and a diverse portfolio of properties in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Vung Tau.
In December 2018, Keppel Land opened Estella Place, its first suburban mall in Vietnam, to cater to growing urban families. Spanning37,000 sq m of gross floor area, Estella Place is integrated with Estella Heights, a premium condominium located in the popular residential enclave of An Phu ward in District 2.
With a total development cost of about $330 million, Estella Heights and the previously completed The Estella comprise about 1,600 homes, all of which have been very well-received and been fully sold. Setting the benchmark for sustainable developments, The Estella was also the first project in Vietnam to receive the Green Mark Gold Award from the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore.
Estella Place is also located close to the planned Saigon Sports City, a 64-ha smart and sustainable township that Keppel Land is currently developing in collaboration with Keppel Urban Solutions, an end-to-end master developer of urban developments. Saigon Sports City will be Vietnam’s first one-stop lifestyle hub with facilities for sports, entertainment, shopping and dining, and will also feature some 4,300 premium homes.
