Attending the meeting were representatives of a number of departments of the Ministry of Construction and experts of the World Bank.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the progress of the implementation of a safe water supply project in the Mekong Delta region that the WB supported Vietnam. Emphasizing the necessity of the project, the two sides expressed their desire to continue to coordinate in promoting measures for the project's early approval, as well as identifying priority investments and approaches to projects in localities.
Expressing the agreement on the orientation and related components, Minister Pham Hong Ha said that the Ministry of Construction is making efforts to implement the agreed schedule with the World Bank, and soon complete the procedure to submit to the Prime Minister. approved. Now that the provinces have confirmed the scope of the project, the Ministry of Construction is also reviewing the opinions of experts as well as coordinating with the ministries and agencies to finalize the report.
The Minister hoped that the World Bank would continue supporting Vietnam to implement the project and expressed his belief that after overcoming the initial difficult steps, the project would be favorable in the implementation process.
