MoPS is conducting an investigation into violations related to Alibaba Real Estate JSC.
According to the document sent by investigating team of MoPS, Dong Nai’s Department of Construction is asked to provide documents related to Alibaba’s projects to serve the investigation. The company’s office is located at 321 Dien Bien Phu, Ward 15, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
At present, there are 29 land projects offered for sale by Alibaba Real Estate JSC across Dong Nai province. Of these, 27 projects are located in communes An Phuoc, Phuoc Binh, Long Phuoc, Bau Can, Tan Hiep, Phuoc Thai (Long Thanh district); another project in Nhon Trach district and the remaining one in Xuan Loc district.
Vo Van Chanh, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People's Committee said, there is no project of Alibaba Real Estate JSC approved by local authorities. Thus, the projects advertised on social networks and the company's website are all illegal projects, or "ghost" ones.
Therefore, people before buying land should go to People's Committees of communes, districts and cities to find out information about the targeted land plots to avoid risks of “ghost” projects, Chanh noted.
Local media recently reported that Alibaba Real Estate JSC have sold "ghost" projects in not only Dong Nai but also Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Thuan.
