Reportedly, the lowest toll fee is VND 35,000 ($ 1.5) and the highest toll fee is VND 180,000 (S$ 7.8) for a turn. The investor has to pay VND 7.8 billion of additional site clearance funds that Hoa Binh People's Committee advanced to local people who had to remove for the construction of the expressway. In case the investor fails to do the payment, MoT will stop the fee collection.
BOT National Highway 6- Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh Company has been allowed to set up two toll stations: one at at Km 42 + 730 National Highway 6 in 2015, and the other one will be installed at Km 17 + 100.
As planned, the period of fee collection will last 27 years, 6 months and 9 days.
The expressway was opened to traffic in October 2018, but the collection of toll fees was not started because of debts of site clearance funds.
MoT asked the investor to collect toll fees in accordance with the laws, traffic safety and public order. It must publicize information about service prices and sale of all types of tickets.
Reportedly, the project of Hoa Lac-Hoa Binh and upgrading the National Highway 6 on Xuan Mai-Hoa Binh section under BOT format were built with total investment capital of VND 2.723 trillion ($ 117.2 million).
