The Alphanam Group and renowned architect Bill Bensley signed a contract for the JW Marriott Sapa Resort & Spa project on August 17 in Hanoi.
JW Marriott Sapa Resort & Spa is a prominent project the Alphanam Group will build in Lao Cai, near Sapa and a key locality in the group’s plan to develop international-branded luxury hotels and resorts in the 2020-2030 period. The appearance of the JW Marriott brand will officially make Sapa a great destination for high-end customers.
Considered the most talented architect in the world over recent years, Bill Bensley and his team have designed more than 190 resorts and hotels in 30 countries and territories. Each is a masterpiece that harmoniously combines nature, local people, and creative ways of architecture.
With nearly 30 years in the business, Bill Bensley was evaluated by Architectural Digest magazine as “the person who changed thinking about designing resorts and spas around the world” and has ranked him in the Top 5 architects globally for four consecutive years.
Asia Spa magazine rated him as Asia’s number one architect in November 2011. Time magazine called him “The King of the Resorts” and voted him as one of the five leading designers in the global hotel tourism industry.
He was also recognized by Fast Company as one of the 100 most innovative figures of all time. His works include Four Seasons Resort Hualalai (US), The St. Regis Bali (Indonesia), Indigo Pearl (Thailand), and Shinta Mani Club (Laos), among others.
In Vietnam, he left a strong mark on hotels and resorts that have been honored with the world’s most prestigious awards, such as InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in central Da Nang city, JW Marriott Emerald Bay Phu Quoc on Phu Quoc Island, and Hotel De La Coupole MGallery in Sapa.
