The news was revealed by Vu Quang Hung, Head of Da Nang’s Department of Construction at a press meeting held on Feb 20.
Earlier, on Apr 26, 2018, Da Nang People’s Committee, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), and Sakae Holdings Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding on the introduction of Singaporean experts to help with the city’s master plan designing.
Later, on Dec 3, 2018, the Prime Minister, in the official dispatch No.1709/TTg-CN on the selection of advisers for the planning, agreed for the work to be carried out in accordance with Article 26 of Law on Bidding 2013. On Dec 14, the Management Board of Da Nang Infrastructure Construction and Urban Development Projects, on behalf of the local authoriety, signed a principal contract with the two Singaporean firms.
Reportedly, Sakae Corporate Advisory, which is a subsidiary of Sakae Holdings Ltd., is chosen to assist Da Nang in designing its economic development strategy toward 2030. The firm offers corporate advisory and strategic investor relations services.
Meanwhile, Surbana Jurong, which is an urban and infrastructure development consultancy, will be responsible for Da Nang’s master planning toward 2030, with a vision to 2050.
