Exploring Con Dao Island and Saigon-Con Dao Resort

Located on Con Dao, the Saigon-Con Dao Resort, a property of Saigontourist Travel Service Company, is offering a wide range of tourism products and services for domestic and international tourists.

Con Dao is an archipelago off the coast of southeastern Vietnam. It is 97 nautical miles from the coast of Vung Tau City and 120 nautical miles from the coast of HCMC. It has 16 islands covering a total of 76 square kilometers.

Con Son is the largest island, covering 51 square kilometers. Smaller islands such as Hon Bay Canh, Hon Cau, Hon Bong Lan and Hon Tai are also attractive destinations on Con Dao.

Con Dao is known for stunning beaches with crystal blue water, white sand, and hundred-year-old bang trees (Terminalia catappa). Islanders are hospitable and friendly, making tourists feel at home.

Tourists can explore Ong Dung and So Ray forests, which have different varieties of flora and fauna. They can also go fishing on Bong Lau Island, take a night trip to catch squid, go snorkeling and diving on Tre Island, and watch turtles laying eggs at night on Bay Canh Island.

Those who want to learn about the history of Con Dao can visit Con Dao Museum, which exhibits photos featuring the history and artifacts of the archipelago.

Saigon-Con Dao Resort

The Saigon-Con Dao Resort has 120 well-furnished rooms. The resort has two areas, with the first having 36 renovated villas originally built by the French in 1920, and the second having 82 seaview rooms which went up in 2009.

Poulo Condore and Hoa Bien restaurants at the resort are where diners can enjoy seafood and local specialties and breathtaking views of the sea. Visitors can find other amenities and services such as swimming pool, tennis court, wifi, karaoke bar, and Con Dao tours.
