The municipal Department of Construction developed the housing app and put it into pilot operation twice. Once completed and approved by the city government, the app will be launched to the public, Le Tran Kien, deputy director of the department, told a meeting today, June 11.
The app will include full information about real estate projects in the city, such as investor information, legal status and construction progress, so that interested investors, companies and customers can check them. Also, information provided to the competent agencies will be available on the app, helping residents and firms avoid possible disputes with projects’ investors when buying apartments under incomplete projects.
Besides this, through the app, the municipal authorities can determine which phases of a project are slowing down and take timely action to ease progress.
The city’s vice chairman, Tran Vinh Tuyen, said that the app has to be connected with management software used by the city before it is launched, so that the city can update it with the latest information.
Regarding searches for project zoning information, residents can use digital maps, said Nguyen Thanh Nha, director of the HCMC Department of Planning and Architecture.
However, many projects in HCMC’s outlying districts have been adjusted multiple times. Residents in these areas temporarily have to use the printouts of project zoning plans, Nha added.
