Owning a prime location right in the downtown of HCMC, the economic value of Dong Khoi Street is increasing fast.
The 630m-long street stretches from Cong Xa Paris to Ton Duc Thang street, along on the bank of Saigon river. There are dozens of iconic works of the city on Dong Khoi street.
The city’s theater, Notre Dame Cathedral, Lam Son Square (formerly Francis Garnier Square) are also located on this street.
The land prices on Dong Khoi street according to the land price frame applied by the HCMC People's Committee for the 2015-2019 period is VND 162 million per sqm.
However, in fact, lands are being sold at prices which are 7-8 times higher than the city’s price frame, reaching from VND 850 million to VND 1.3 billion per sqm. There are even houses with prices up to more than VND 1.5 billion per sqm.
Since 2007, with the appearance of land lots for sale at more than VND 1 billion VND per sqm, Dong Khoi Street became one of the most famous million-dollar streets in Vietnam.
Prices of houses with two frontages on Dong Khoi and streets: Dong Du, Mac Thi Buoi, Nguyen Thiep and Ngo Duc Ke are very expensive.
Although land is very expensive, Dong Khoi Street’s paveways are pretty wide, clean, and airy for local people and tourists to walk comfortably.
There are many shops, stores of local residents along the street.
It is also a high-class shopping area with the convergence of many luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Versace, etc.
Dong Khoi is also the place where many spectacular activities and events on major festivals of the city take place.
The rental real estate market along this street is also very exciting with super expensive rents.
Rents of the front houses there range from VND 150-250 million per month, depending on area.
