Vietnamese investors snapping up overseas property projects

Thứ Ba, 15/10/2019 - 02:00

As Vietnamese people are increasingly making overseas property investments, foreign developers from Europe, the US, and Asia are flocking to Vietnam to introduce their property products.

Vietnam is emerging as a potential market for foreign developers thanks to the country’s rising affluent class and expanding disposable income. With a decade of international trade activity, Vietnamese people have also accumulated experiences in negotiations, raising capital, and securing overseas investments. Therefore, more Vietnamese people are looking for opportunities to invest in property markets abroad.

Indeed, Vietnamese investors can enjoy several benefits in deals abroad such as stable returns across diversified property assets. Savvy investors can sustainably increase the added value of their assets as well as spread risks by putting their eggs in different baskets.

It is obvious that more and more Vietnamese are keen on foreign property products due to high liquidity, sustainable yields, and other special privileges like residency, investment opportunities, international education, and healthcare.

Greece is the most popular investment destination among Vietnamese property buyers.

To capitalise on these opportunities, four reputable international property developers – Lendlease, Sansiri, Euroterra Capital, and Pafilia – will introduce their products to Vietnamese buyers at a conference held on October 13 at Park Hyatt Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City.

The conference will give an insight into the Golden Visa programme, which is one of the most desirable programmes at the moment to become European residents. Potential buyers can also explore many investment opportunities in neighbouring countries.

Participating in the conference, Australian developer Lendlease is renowned for constructing many landmark projects such as the Sydney Opera House, Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, as well as restoring and renovating historic buildings such as London’s Tate Britain and National Theatre.

Headquartered in Sydney, Lendlease is operating in four regions: Australia, Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The company was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 1962.

In Asia, Lendlease has two big property projects namely TRX Quarter in Malaysia and Paya Lebar Quarter in Singapore. The company is also successful in the Japanese and Chinese markets.

Properties from neighbouring countries such as Thailand also attract Vietnamese investors.

Thailand's leading property developer Sansiri will also be present at the conference. Founded in 1984, Sansiri is one of Thailand’s oldest and largest real estate developers. The company has been listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand since 1996. The company has built its reputation by developing luxury villas, apartments, and office buildings.

In August, Sansiri announced its investment to increase its shareholding in Standard International Holdings (SIH), the parent company of American hotel brand The Standard, from 37.26 to 59.02 per cent. The companies have aligned on an ambitious expansion plan to grow The Standard’s footprint to 25 open hotels in the next five years including four properties in Thailand as well as locations in Milan, Paris, Lisbon, Bordeaux, Mexico City, and Chicago.

Meanwhile, Euroterra Capital is the leader in the global real estate development and investment industry. The firm has successfully cemented their name as one of the most esteemed developers in Europe with approximately 3 million square feet of residential and commercial space across Europe, including London, Greece, and Bulgaria.

In recent years, Euroterra Capital has opened offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai to keep up with the fastest growth in Asia. Euroterra Capital places value on maintaining value and yields for customers with the strategy of recovering undervalued property assets in the city centre.

For each product, Euroterra Capital incorporates local features into each design to create balanced and harmonious living spaces. Euroterra Capital has a diverse portfolio of products such as houses, villas, mixed-use real estate projects, and many other types of assets.

Last but not least, Pafilia is the largest privately-owned residential developer in Cyprus, dedicated to developing world class properties for personal living and investment. The company offers comprehensive property solutions including villas, apartments, townhouses, and resorts.

Cyprus is widely known for its attractive tax incentive.

Pafilia has developed over 130 projects with over 3,000 property assets over the past four decades. The company is owner-managed by Elias Eliades, who previously served as both the Minister of Defence and Minister of Interior for Cyprus.

Pafilia has built its reputation by assisting many buyers to successfully invest in its property projects and earn Cyprus citizenship with many privileges of European citizenship.

All of these developers have selected Denzell Limited, a Hong Kong-based real estate agency to tap into the Vietnamese market. The company has offices in Hong Kong, Thailand, and Vietnam with a distinctive presence in the Asia-Pacific region, serving more than 8,000 clients worldwide.

Denzell will be a bridge connecting Vietnamese investors to globally reputable real estate developments. Therefore, customers who participate in the conference at Park Hyatt will not only gain an insight into overseas property investment but also receive professional consultancy from Denzell.

In addition, Denzell also invites foreign lawyers to the conference to clarify any questions about legal issues, procedures, and investment solutions including the management and sale of overseas property assets.

Denzell is a rising brand for global investment in Vietnam. With years of expertise in global investment, Denzell offers bespoke consultancy on the Golden Visa programme. The company also helps hundreds of customers to purchase property assets and get dual nationality with the rights of European citizens.
