On 30/12/2016, the Ministry of Construction issued Decree 31/2016/TT-BXD regarding the ranking and recognition of the condominium with provisions of the purpose of ranking, general recognition of the condominium, a guide to the condominium recognition proposal, criteria for condominium ranking and condominium recognition procedures.
Condominiums are classified into grade A, grade B and grade C with detailed criteria in terms of planning and architecture, M&E, services, facilities, quality and management. Grade A and B condominium buildings must meet 18 out of 20 criteria accordingly for each grade; while grade C buildings don’t have to meet all requirements, even though they have to provide sufficient facilities and systems.
